WE DESERVE SAFE STREETS AND BETTER PUBLIC TRANSIT
We want more efficient public transportation and safer streets. Therefore, we support the MTA’s proposed change to reroute the westward traveling B45 bus off of Saint Johns Place between New York Avenue and Rogers Avenue.
The MTA has cited the need for the change because this stretch of Saint Johns Place is too narrow for two-way bus traffic. Eastward and westward traveling b45 are constantly stuck, unable to pass each other, creating delays for riders throughout the bus network and dangerous congestions for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
We call on the MTA to move forward with their plan for a more equitable distribution of the b45 route to improve its reliability, operation, efficiency and safety for our community.
